Twitter users who want to enjoy additional features and verification will have to pay a monthly subscription fee of Sh972 ($8) to acquire Twitter Blue.

One can get Twitter Blue by navigating to the Profile menu on Twitter Application.

Select the subscribe button and you will be prompted to verify your phone number.

You will be given purchase instructions and be required to confirm subscription payment on the web.

You will get a blue tick once your request is approved.

Users who have subscribed to Twitter Blue will get prioritised rankings in conversations and search.

They will also see approximately twice as many Tweets between advertisements in their following timelines.

The users will be able to add bold and italic texts o their Tweets and post longer videos of up to 1080p video uploads.

An active Twitter Blue subscription adds a blue checkmark to your account.
