Sacred Heart Mukumu Girls High School Teacher Juliana Mujema died of multiple kidney failure at the Life Care hospital in Eldoret.

His brother Amos Ngira said that the late Mujema had been referred to the facility by Oasis Hospital in Kakamega on Wednesday.

She has been at the facility for two weeks.

"When we reached Lifecare, they started with giving her blood but since her kidney and liver had failed, the blood was coming out through the nose and private parts," Ngira said.

Ngira said that the doctors at Oasis said that Mujema exhibited similar symptoms as those displayed by the four students of the school who succumbed to food poisoning.

Ngira said that while at Oasis Hospital, a student of the school was admitted to the same ward by a sister and they complained of similar conditions.

"My sister dies of the same food poisoning her students died of. One should be asking him or herself why it is only her who is dying and she was the boarding mistress," Ngira said.

She leaves behind two children. The firstborn is at Mang'u high school while the second is in junior secondary at Facebeth Academy in Kakamega.

The husband Norman Musungubis a teacher at Kabula Boys in Bungoma County.
