Police are investigating an incident in which the body of a farmhand was found hanging on a tree in Karen, Nairobi.

The body of the 36-year-old was found at the farm he has been working on Monday, April 10 after a suspected suicide.

His fellow worker stumbled on the body and called the employer.

Police said no suicide note was recovered and the body was moved to the Kenyatta National Hospital morgue pending autopsy.

Elsewhere in Kangemi, police said a man hanged himself following false accusations from his employer.

Before dying by suicide, the man left a note behind claiming that her employer falsely accused him.

The note further read that the employer was making him a sacrificial lamp.

The man hanged himself on an avocado tree branch near Maumau Bridge.

The body was removed to the city morgue pending autopsy and probe.

In Kikuyu, police said a 39-year-old man hanged himself using a cable on the rooftop of his house.

Police and residents said the deceased had turned out to be a drug addict after separating from his wife seven years ago.

The body was moved to the mortuary.

Cases of suicide have been on the rise in the country amid calls to address the menace.

Police say up to three cases are reported to them daily in the country.

Most of the cases are linked to societal pressure, police say.
