PSC announces 78 job openings in Public Works

The Public Service Commission has announced new job openings in the State Department for Public Works.

In a notice seen by the Star, the Commission has advertised 78 positions in the state department.

The deadline for application is April 24, at 5 pm.

"Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke or jobs portal: psckjobs.go.ke to reach the commission on or before 24th April 2023," the notice reads.

The vacancies advertised are as follows;

One vacancy each for Chief Engineer Structural, Director-Kenya Building Research Centre and Chief Superintending Engineer (Electrical-BS).

Two slots each for Deputy Chief Architect and Chief Superintending Engineer (Structural).

The Commission called for applicants to fill six Chief Superintending Architects, 16 Engineer II (Electrical), and 20 Engineer II (Mechanical-BS).

PSC also called for applicants to fill 29 Architect I positions.

The PSC also advertised for nine Vice-Chancellor and deputy Vice-chancellor positions for six public universities in Kenya.

The Commission re-advertised for Tom Mboya University VC job, while at the same time advertised for Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, and Tharaka Nithi University.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) positions advertised included; DVC - Academics, Student Affairs and Research for JOOUST, Tharaka Nithi University and Laikipia University.

Kenyatta University advertised for DVC - Research, Innovation and Outreach, while Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology called for DVC - Research, Production and Extension.

Laikipia University also called for applications to fill the DVC - Administration, Finance and Planning.
