ICT and Digital economy CAS Dennis Itumbi is over the moon after recovering his Twitter account.

The account had been hacked for about two weeks by crypto sellers.

Speaking after the recovery, Itumbi said he had registered victory against the hackers.

The CAS assured that the hackers will struggle to have access to his account again.

"I just beat the Hackers - They managed to lock me out for a while. I planted a flag of victory on their territory too. They will struggle to be back. Goodnight people," Itumbi said on Tuesday.

Speak after the hackers got control of the account, he exuded confidence that he would have control of his account in no time.

Itumbi noted that the hackers had also tried to take control of his other social media accounts but he noticed before they could.

"As for my account, it shall be restored shortly, they tried my email, Instagram and Facebook too, but I got them before they could. Brutal welcome and a clear message on Cyber Security. For now Hackers 1 - Itumbi 0. In the fullness of time, that score will be something else... Asanteni," he said.

The CAS said the hacking should serve as a clear message on what should be done in relation to cyber security in Kenya.
