Just a few hours after jetting back into the country from Europe on Thursday, President William Ruto is expected to give an address at the third edition of the AmCham Business Summit.

The summit is currently ongoing at Emara Hotel along Mombasa Road.

Ruto is confirmed as Chief Guest, with over 500 delegates from the both public and private sectors, senior U.S., Kenyan and regional government officials are in attendance.

The Summit is set to provide a platform for enhancing two-way trade and investment between the United States and the East Africa region.

It will also be among the few high-level events on the continent following the U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit and comes when the United States and Kenya have just concluded a productive first round of talks on the U.S. – Kenya Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership (STIP).
