Police have launched investigations into Monday's invasion of Northlands City farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County, and the vandalism on East Africa Spectre Limited in the Embakasi area of Nairobi.
In a statement on Tuesday, Inspector General of Police Japthet Koome condemned the attacks saying those found culpable will be dealt with within the law.
Koome also condemned attacks on police officers during the Azimio mass protests saying they resulted in the injury of 23 police officers.
"Our investigation into the destructions and injuries caused has begun, and those found culpable shall face the law. We are appealing to the public to adhere to the rule of law when exercising their Constitutional rights to picket, petition, or demonstrate," Koome said.
During the invasion of the Northlands City, intruders helped themselves to sheep, cut down trees and later set the farm on fire at night.
At the Spectre premises, intruders threw stones and broke window panes to the building although no one was injured in any of the incidents.
No police were in sight during the twin incidents although Koome said "our officers responded swiftly and prevented further crimes."
The IG also condemned the torching of two police vehicles during the ensuing melee when demonstrators confronted police.
"Meanwhile, we commend our officers for discharging their duties with the utmost respect for the rule of law as demonstrated by their restrain during the unlawful protests," the IG said.
