Belgut MP Nelson Koech has termed Monday's march to State House by the opposition as Azimio leader Raila Odinga's political waterloo.

The Kenya Kwanza MP, who also chairs the National Assembly committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations, claimed that Raila was well aware of the consequences of his plans to storm the State House.

Koech claimed that Raila's mass action against President William Ruto is all about his quest for power and not based on his pursuit of the interest of Kenyans.

"For Raila, it is all about a process that will deliver him to State House and even if he is given an opportunity to pick all the IEBC commissioners he will not accept results that do not declare him the winner," Koech said.

"Unfortunately, elections in this country are about the people. From 1997, Raila has kept accusing and pushing out of office IEBC commissioners?"

On Monday's mass action and plans by Azimio to storm State House, Koech said Raila will meet his lowest moment in his decade-long political career.

"It is not about the cost of living that has made Raila come out, it is unfortunate and on Monday Raila will meet his waterloo," the MP said.

He wondered why Raila did not call for mass action when he worked closely with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to Koech, the Monday protests will not attract the much public support that Raila is looking for because Kenyans are tired.
