Kenyatta National Hospital has called on Kenyans to collect unclaimed bodies from its farewell home.

The management of the hospital in a public notice said it is offering members of the public seven days to claim the bodies.

“Pursuant to Public Health Act Cap 242 [Subsidiary Legislation Public Health (Public Mortuaries) Rules,1991], interested members of the public are therefore requested to identify and collect the bodies within 7 days, failure to which the hospital will seek authority from the courts to dispose them,” the notice read.

The hospital through the same notice announced that the list of bodies is available to the public at the KNH farewell home.

The notice comes weeks after Nairobi County called on Kenyans to collect 292 unclaimed bodies from City morgues.
