The highlighting of submissions in the Justice Aggrey Muchelule-led tribunal has been adjourned to February 20.

In a notice released by the tribunal’s joint secretaries, the tribunal which was expected to resume sittings on Wednesday morning says the matter will now be heard in February.

“Take notice that whereas the matter was scheduled for highlighting of submissions on Wednesday, the tribunal has directed that the matter be scheduled for highlighting of submissions on February 20 2023,” the notice reads.

The tribunal adjourned its sittings on January 24 after taking the testimony of former IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati who testified against former commissioner Irene Masit.

Masit through her lawyer Donald Kipkorir told the tribunal that she would not be calling any witnesses to defend her but will only make final submissions.

Elsewhere, a case where former Sports CS Hassan Wario has appealed his conviction for abuse of office in the Rio Olympics scandal is scheduled to begin today. The High Court is set to give direction on proceedings.
