Siaya Governor James Orengo has fired back at Azimio MPs who visited President William Ruto at State House earlier this week.

Speaking during the burial of the late Education CS George Magoha, Orengo said that the MPs should have stayed where they know is home.

"Don’t go where your people are being backbitten. If your house is leaking, that’s your house, stay there, don’t go where your family members are backbitten, know your people, and stick by them," he said.

“Value loyalty, your parents know what’s best for you” he added.

Earlier this week,MPs including Senator Tom Ojienda, MPs Gideon Ochanda, Caroli Omondi, Elisha Odhiambo, Paul Abuor, Mark Nyamita and Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o visited Ruto at State House.

As a result, the Orange Democratic Movement on Thursday said they had received a deregistration request for the MPs who visited State House on Tuesday.

ODM party secretary general Edwin Sifuna said that mechanisms have been initiated for action.

This is after Migori Senator Eddy Oketch wrote to the party to expel and deregister the nine lawmakers.

In a letter addressed to the party's Secretary General and disciplinary committee, Oketch through his lawyer Gad Aguko, claimed the MPs violated the party's constitution.
