Report of flight disruption between Kenya and Tanzania is fake

The PS has since termed the news as fake.

A report that there is a disruption of flights between Tanzania and Kenya is fake.

In a statement on Saturday, foreign affairs principal secretary Korir Sing'Oei said that the information going around on social media is fake.

He put a picture of the news and stated it as fake.

According to the report, flights booked on January 27 to January 30 were to be disrupted.

Some of the flights from Dar-es-Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar and Nairobi were to be affected according to the fake alert.

The fake news read:

"Tanzania & Kenya - Civil unrest

Due to civil unrest in Tanzania and Kenya from Friday 27 January up to and including Monday 30 January 2023, some of our flights to, from or via Dar-es-Salaam (DAR), Kilimanjaro (JRO), Zanzibar (ZNZ), and Nairobi (NBO) may be disrupted. We are doing our very best to help you on your way again.
