Wetang'ula hosts top KCPE candidate at his Kanduyi home

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula on Friday hosted this year's top KCPE candidate at his home in Western. 

Robinson Fwaro Makokha emerged the best in the exams after he scooped 431 marks out the possible 500.

The Christ the King Primary school alumnus was accompanied by some members of his family members.

"I today played host to Robinson Fwaro Makokha at my Kanduyi home and congratulated him for the sterling performance in this year's KCPE.

"Am proud of Robinson from the Christ the King Primary in Kanduyi constituency, Bungoma County who scored 431 Marks and emerged top best pupil in 2022 KCPE in the country," Wetang'ula said in a tweet.

Fwaro, 14, said his dream is to be a software engineer.

He made the revealed about his aspiration during an interview at his former school on Wednesday.

Fwaro said he is filled with joy and he did not expect to be the first student in Kenya.

"I expected to be among the top ten students in the country but this has come to me as a surprise," he said.

The top pupil said he desires to join Alliance Boys High School.

“I have been yearning to join Alliance Boys High School to realise my dream of becoming a software engineer. I know that with my parents support I will make it,” he said.

Fwaro attributed his success to discipline and hard work  and cooperation with teachers.

The firstborn in a family of two said he also received a lot of support from his parents.
