Kenyan comic act Arap Uria has set her sights on meeting football commentator Jim Beglin after fulfilling his dream of meeting his idol Peter Drury.

In a Twitter post on Monday, Uria posted a short clip of him with Drury in Doha, Qatar where he is attending the World Cup.

"I'm also coming for you Jim Beglin," he said.

Beglin is Drury's co-commentator at the World Cup and the English Premier League.

On Friday last week, Beglin offered to link Uria with Drury after the comedian posted a request on Twitter.

"I have passed on your tweet to Drury. I hope it all works out for you. Good luck," he said.

Uria has gained international acclaim for imitating Drury in his clips by lip-syncing his most outstanding commentaries mostly during goal-scoring sessions.

During their encounter in Qatar, Drury commended Uria for his creativity saying he is a comedian worth watching.

"It's so good to be with Arap, we've finally united here in Doha and it's lovely to tell him what a fantastically great act he does. He's been so kind to me and flattered me and taught me how to be a better commentator," Drury said.

"This is a genuinely funny guy," he added.

Uria said meeting Drury was one of the best moments of his life as he expressed optimism that he would equally meet Beglin.

In his response, Beglin said, seemingly with a light touch, that Drury needs "proper guidance" after he said people should continue enjoying Uria's comical displays during the World Cup.
