Man, 30, dies after bathroom fall in Ruiru

A man slid and died in his bathroom in Ruiru, Kiambu county on Saturday.

Charles Wachira Muchu was taking his morning shower at his bathroom in Kihunguro when he slipped.

His wife Elizabeth Mukami told police she found the man unresponsive in the bathroom and rushed him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police visited the scene of the incident as part of the probe and documented it.

Ruiru head of DCI Justus Ombati said they will conduct an autopsy on the body to establish the cause of the death.

“We will know more after the postmortem,” he said.

John Karanja was swimming at Ruiru river with his friends when he drowned, the friends said.

His body was retrieved hours after the incident.

Police said they visited the scene and documented it before moving the body to the mortuary.

Also, a 60-year-old woman collapsed and died while in her farm in Hilton, Ruiru.

Police said they were informed Nancy Nyambura Macharia collapsed and died while at her farm.

A team arrived at the farm and moved the body to the mortuary pending probe.
