Kisii Governor Simba Arati has asked any County staff with fake papers to begin packing to leave.

He told them not to embarrass themselves further by waiting for the outcome of an ongoing staff audit.

Speaking Monday during a fete to mark his homecoming-cum birthday at Motonto in Bobasi, the governor said nothing, not even the powers of witchcraft, would slow his resolve to right the wrongs in the devolved unit.

The rot piling up in the County, he said, must be cleaned up at whatever cost if development is to be done.

The ongoing audit, he warned, is likely to end the careers of dozens of staff, some of them his friends.

"Yes, you may be my friend or even relative but so long as you have fake papers, you have to go," warned the tough-talking County boss.

Like a speeding train stated Arati, he said he is not going to back off from his reformation agenda for the sake of the thousands of voters that voted him into office

" We must inflict pain if we need good results as a people," stated Arati.

Arati described as hot air the criticism being levelled against his government by some opponents.

The County's human resource, he said was wanting to add that it was littered with sickening details of employees without proper academic credentials.

"These must check out. We must get rid of them, there is no going back," he said.

Already some staff have tried to scare him with witchery something he said would not cow him

"If you got a fake certificate which you changed grades and got recruited as a clinic officer or director begin to resign now before we smoke you out.

" We can't expect different results if we put garbage into the sewage, they must go," he said.

Kisii, he said, has a learned youth population that must be given jobs.

" This surgical operation is going to be deep and none would be spared, "said Arati.

During his visit to Nairobi, Arati said he met the president adding that he was stunned that he was such a selfless leader.

The meeting was to push for the half trillion grant from Britain which Kisiii University would use to set up the largest hospital in East Africa.

"Already the president has promised to make a quick follow-up through the relevant agencies so that the funds will quickly be sent in to aid in that objective," he said

During the event, County Deputy Governor Robert Monda defended their administration saying they were already on course to achieve their manifesto.

He requested prayers from the electorate to aid cement unity as it pushes the devolved unit forward.

"All we need are prayers, keep us in your continual supplication," he told the attendees at the function held at Motonto market on Monday.

County Assembly Speaker Philip Nyanumba asked County ministers to draft bills which can aid in legislation in assembly.

During the event, speaker after the other singled out an activist for making a spot for the County boss.

County Secretary Patrick Lumumba, threw the first salvo saying amid the attacks, the Arati administration continues to grow from strength to strength.

He said they would not in any way get distracted by the activist's string of attacks.

"As a County, we tell him, and by extension whoever is posting similar dirt online, that those are sideshows that won't distract us. This is a strong government that is right on course," said the outgoing County Secretary.

Bomorenda Ward Rep John Ombati told the governor to stay strong in the face of the online bash targeting his administration.

The devolved unit boss, said Ombati, embraces all that is needed is to develop the region and not be swayed by abuses.

The Ward Rep asked Bomachoge area residents where the activist hails from to reign in on their son.

Denis Ombachi on his part said the assembly would continue to back the Governor's development agenda.

He told him to ignore criticism and vouch ahead with those who need his services.

Youth leader Denis Mosoti aka Embura Embe said the governor has demonstrated that the youth can be trusted with leadership.

He lauded him for inaugurating a new Sacco for the bodaboda riders in town.

He prayed for him to develop strong stamina amid the tide of protests targeting his administration.

The sentiments were shared by former Kisii Central Ward Rep Kefa Mrefu.

Charles Bagaka, MCA Masige East Ward said they are ready to support the governor.
