"As we know that this regime which came to power through rigging  the elections, is now hellbent in trying to send home the commissioners who stood firm on the platform of the truth," he said.

Raila said they will hold countrywide rallies to seek opinions from the public on the removal of the four commissioners.

He was speaking to the media in Kisumu on Sunday.

Raila and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka were among the dignitaries at the hearing of the petition seeking the removal of the four on Thursday.

The IEBC officials at the centre of the petition are Juliana Cherera (vice chairperson), Irene Masit, Francis Wanderi and Justus Nyangaya.

The four did not own the results that gave William Ruto victory in the face-off with Odinga, they termed the results opaque.

On September after Supreme Court rulling that saw Ruto announced as president, Raila said he respected the ruling but 'vehementluy disagree' with it.

“We have always stood for the rule of law and the constitution. In this regard, we respect the opinion of the court although we vehemently disagree with their decision today,” he said.
