CS Mutua: Kenya will work with US to increase export

He assured of Kenya's continued support of the organization's values.

Foreign Affairs CS Alfred Mutua has said Kenya will continue working with the US to increase exportation to the American Market.

In a statement on Tuesday, he pointed out that America was Kenya's biggest exporter.

He lauded US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman, for the continued cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties between the countries.

Mutua had met with Whitman, Qatar Ambassador Jabor Bin Ak-Dosari and the Director General United Nations at Nairobi (UNON)Zainab Bangura.

"I thanked @USAmbKenya for her determination and focus in growing our relations and exploring new areas of cooperation that benefit the Kenyan people," he said.

Concerning the UNON, he assured of Kenya's continued support of the organization's values.

"I underscored the special place of the UN system in Kenya. We are happy to be the host of the only UN Agency in the global south. We will support and create strategic partnerships that have a positive impact on humanity," he said.

The Office was established by the UN General Assembly in 1996 as the body's headquarters in Africa.

It is located at UN avenue in Gigiri.

The CS further emphasized on the importance of the relations between Kenya and Qatar, adding that the State hosts over 60,000 Kenyan professionals.

"We will work closely to bring in more investments as we sell more Kenyan goods and services," he said.

Mutua wished the country luck as they host World Cup 2022.

The 22nd running of the FIFA World Cup competition is set to start on November 20 and end on December 18, 2022.

It is scheduled for 32 teams and is the first to be held in the Arab world.
