Attorney General nominee Justin Muturi says his net worth is Sh700 million.

He made the revelations on Monday while appearing for vetting before the National Assembly's Appointment committee.

 

"I'm a modest public servant with a net worth of about Sh700 million from farming and legal consultancy," Muturi said.

Last year in November, the former National Assembly Speaker revealed his net worth was Sh300 million.

This means that his wealth doubled in the past year.

Muturi made the revelation on Twitter on November 18 during a Question and Answer session with Twitter users. 

He said he made his money through business funded by his salary from civil service and bank loans.

He suggested that he owns commercial property that have pushed his net worth to the Sh300 million mark.
