Kenya Kwanza, Azimio la Umoja teams have moved to secure votes in Nakuru and Mombasa ahead of Monday's polls.
The teams are being led by Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua for Kenya Kwanza.
Raila will take the coalition’s campaign to Mombasa where he is expected to be joined by other key leaders led by outgoing Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to drum support for their Governor candidate Abdulswamad Nassir.
In Mombasa, the Governor race is between ODM candidate Abdulswamad Nassir and UDA’s Hassan Omar.
Nassir is the outgoing Mvita MP while Omar is a former Mombasa Senator.
The Kenya Kwanza brigade will also take their campaigns to Nakuru where they will be seeking to unseat incumbent Rongai MP, Raymond Moi.
Moi is defending his seat on a Kanu ticket.
"After successfully liberating the people of Mt Kenya from enslavement by one family, the Mt Kenya heroes head to Rongai constituency, Nakuru county to help in liberating the people of Rongai from enslavement by another family," Gachagua said in a tweet on Wednesday.
Rigathi will be joined by Nakuru Governor-elect Susan Kihika, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchuba Murkomen, MPs-elect Ndindi Nyoro, Reuben Kiborek, Musa Sirma and Uasin Gishu Senator-elect Jackson Mandago.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati had on August 8 suspended elections in some elective seats across the country following a mix up in the printing of ballot papers.
They include; Mombasa and Kakamega gubernatorial elections, four constituency seats - Pokot South, Kitui Rural, Rongai, and Kacheliba.
Chebukati had cited threats and harassment of his officials as reasons to postpone the elections for a second time.
However, on Monday IEBC announced August 29 as the day it will conduct elections in areas where the polls were postponed in the concluded general election.
