Azimio la Umoja presidential running mate Martha Karua has called on their supporters in Mombasa to be vigilant and avert incidents of rigging during Monday's governor elections.

Governor polls in Mombasa and Kakamega counties have been scheduled for Monday after being postponed twice over ballot errors and alleged intimidation of IEBC staff.

The Azimio team led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga toured Mombasa on Wednesday to campaign for their candidate Abdulswamad Nassir.

"Give us a governor who will be able to implement our manifesto and our agenda," she added.

Karua asked their supporters not to be intimidated by poll clerks who will be deployed by IEBC to man the elections.

"Unaweza kuwa huna pesa lakini akili unazo. Tumia akili zako, ujasiri wako, linda kura zetu," Karua said.
