The five-day verification of results forms has come to an end on Monday with the IEBC expected to declare the results of the August 9 polls.

The 15 verification tables at the Bomas of Kenya were empty on Monday morning.

Only a few tables are occupied with clerks engaging in low-tone conversation after finishing paperwork.

Inside the auditorium, both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza's seats were occupied to capacity by 9 am.

Foreign envoys and ambassadors were also seated as early as 8.30 am, signalling a possible declaration today.

There is also a heavy presence of security personnel both at the auditorium, surrounding areas and the main gate.
