Waita concedes defeat in Machakos governor race

He said his team was well informed that Ndeti will be announced the winner.

Chama Cha Uzalendo leader and Machakos governor candidate Nzioka Waita has conceded defeat.

He said though the elections were marred with lots of electoral irregularities, he had accepted the defeat since there is a winner and loser in every contest.

Waita said his team was well informed that Wiper's candidate Wavinya Ndeti will be announced the winner.

The announcement is yet to be made by Machakos County IEBC returning officer Nelly Illongo at Machakos Academy,  the county's tallying centre.

Ndeti’s score had been recorded as her CCU competitor Nzioka Waita’s, and his as hers.
