Covid 19: 427 new cases recorded

The youngest is a one-year-old while the oldest is 92 years old.

• There are 47 patients currently admitted to the health facilities, while 3,065 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

• So far, a  total of 18,523,074 vaccines have been administered across the country.

427 people have tested positive in tests conducted within the last 24 hours.

A sample size of 3,307 were tested.

The positivity rate is now at 12.9 percent.

No patient has succumbed to the disease therefore the cumulative fatalities remain at 5,651.

In a statement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said from the cases 369 are Kenyans while 58 are foreigners. 221 are females and 206 males.

The youngest is a one-year-old while the oldest is 92 years old.

"The total confirmed positive cases are now 328,319 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 3,713,980," Kagwe said.

Today, 80 patients have recovered from the disease, all of them from the Home-Based and Isolation Care Program.

This pushes the total recoveries to 319,983 of whom 266,932 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,051 are from various health facilities countrywide.

There are 47 patients currently admitted to the health facilities, while 3,065 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

Four patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and are on supplemental oxygen, while four are in General Ward.

No patient is in the High Dependency Unit.

So far, a  total of 18,523,074 vaccines have been administered across the country.

The Government is working towards vaccinating a targeted population of 27,246,033.
