The trial court hearing Jacque Maribe and Joseph Irungu murder case on Wednesday visited Lamuria Gardens in Kilimani, Nairobi, where Monica Kimani was murdered.

Justice Grace Nzioka was shown the gate which Jowie is alleged to have used to access the house.

Chief Inspector Maxwell Otieno told the court that Jowie came in a cab and used a stolen ID to enter the compound.

According to Otieno, the way Jowie entered the compound showed that he knew the place well as he walked straight to Monica's house.

The judge, the accused and lawyers visited the house but they did not go past the door because there is a new tenant whose privacy must be protected.

From Lumuria Gardens, the court will proceed to Communications Centre, off Dennis Pritt Road where Citizen TV is located within Hurlingham area, Nairobi.

While at the gate, lawyer Katwa Kigen will demonstrate to the court how Maribe's mobile data was captured at Lamuria.

He wants to show the distance between Lamuria and Citizen and how her data may have been captured.

Meanwhile, Otieno has told court that Jowie was at Roadhouse Grill on the evening of the murder from where they believe he went to Monica's house.

He said Roadhouse Grill is located some 100 meters from Lamuria Gardens.

The investigating officer said before Jowie went to Lamuria, he changed into a Kanzu (an Islamic religious gown).

Otieno said Jowie was being driven in Maribe's car from Roadhouse Grill.

He told the court that there was no CCTV footage from that day.
