Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader Alfred Mutua has warned Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leaders against being arrogant.

Speaking during a Citizen TV interview on Tuesday, Mutua said Azimio is ignorant in thinking others do not matter and dismissed the claims that he has no influence on the public.

"They need to stop this arrogance of thinking they are the only ones who control the public. It is that form of arrogance that has seen Azimio go down the drain," the Machakos governor said.

"If I did not have an impact, they would not be talking about me. They would have ignored me."

The former Government spokesperson said that he can still be trusted and affirmed that he has kept his principles despite moving to Ruto's camp.

" Just because you shift positions at this time because everything is dynamic, does not mean that you have changed your principles."

On Monday, Mutua announced that his party had ditched Azimio and joined DP William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza on Sunday.

He cited the subjective favour of some political parties in Azimio and sidelining of MCC.

"Ruto is a good man and he will change this country. Last night we signed an agreement with Kenya Kwanza and here is a copy and unlike the Azimio's , we know its content," he told journalists.
