Ruto back on the campaign trail after nomination break

The DP will be on his second day of Western Kenya charm offensive.

Deputy President William Ruto is back on the campaign trail, days after he took a break to oversee his party nominations.

The second in command returned to the campaign trail on Thursday, where he held consultative meetings with leaders from Western Kenya.

He was accompanied by his Kenya Kwanza Alliance co-principals, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, among other coalition partners.

On Friday, Ruto is in Kakamega where he will hold a Kakamega Economic Forum at Musingu.

He will then hold public rallies in Butula town, Busia County, Vihiga and Ikolomani in Kakamega County.

On Thursday, the DP held a rally in Sio Port, Funyula and Mihuu in Webuye East.

Other leaders present during the engagements included; Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Didmus Barasa (Kimilili), Catherine Wambilyanga (Bungoma), Ben Washiali (Mumias East), Dan Wanyama (Webuye West), Charles Gimose (Hamisi), Beatrice Adagala (Vihiga) and Alfred Agoi (Sabatia).
