Nakuru Senator aspirant Tabitha Karanja has changed her name.

Her lawyers say she'll be identified by her firms' name - Keroche.

A gazette notice says she'll be called Tabitha Karanja Keroche. Her present identity is Tabitha Mukami Mungai.

Tabitha will vie for the Nakuru Senatorial seat on a UDA ticket.

During her speech, she said after lengthy consultations with friends and family, she resolved to join UDA. 

“For months we have been involved in consultations with close friends and I feel it’s time I gave this seat a shot,”

"Mimi ni mwanabiashara hapa Nakuru County, na nina amini hii mrengo wa bottom-up, tukishika na Mheshimiwa William Ruto, pamoja na Susan Kihika, pesa itakua mfukoni na Nakuru itasonga mbele," she said 

The 57-year-old is the founder of the Naivasha-based brewery.

Tabitha in 2010 received Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) from President.
