The ceremony was presided over by Chief Justice Martha Koome at the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
CJ Koome on her part lauded the collaboration between IEBC and the Judicial Committee.
"I appreciate the ongoing collaboration between IEBC and the Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) in the area of electoral law reforms and the training of Judges and Judicial Officers on Election Dispute Resolution (EDR)." the CJ said.
Speaking after the swearing-in, Marjan said he will ensure the elections proceed freely and fairly.
"We are in the middle of preparing for the elections, the commission is committing to conducting a free and fair election," he said.
This comes a week after he was appointed as the CEO with the Commission Chairman Wafula Chebukati saying he was the most suitable.
