Leaders allied to Kenya KwanzaAlliance have warned against attempts to manipulate the 2022 election results saying the move will plunge the country into a crisis.

While campaigning in Trans Nzoia county on Thursday, the leaders called for transparency ahead of the August 9, polls.

Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula, MPs Robert Pukose (Endebess), Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini) and Kithure Kindiki (Tharaka Nithi) led the campaigns.

The group chided ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta asking them to prepare to go home.

“Uhuru and Raila should retire in peace. The country has grown tired of them,” Wetangula said.

The leaders spoke in Twiga Farm, Saboti Centre and Moi’s Bridge.

Wetangula asked Kenyans not to waste their time supporting Azimio la Umoja movement saying Raila is set for a humiliating defeat.

“There is no way Raila can defeat us. He is out of touch with the aspirations of the people,” Wetangula added.

The leaders used the opportunity to woo the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join Kenya Kwanza so that they can forge a united front.

Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki labelled Raila as a promise-breaker for reneging on his deal with Kalonzio.

“Who can trust a politician who breaks promises?” asked Kindiki.

He regretted that Jubilee Government’s second term saying it had gone to waste because of the Handshake deal.

“No development was realised but fake projects running from the Handshake, BBI to Azimio that only sought to benefit the rich,” he said.

Wamalwa, who is running for the Trans-Nzoia Gubernatorial seat welcomed Kalonzo to Kenya Kwanza saying Raila does not need him.

Deputy President William Ruto and  ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi are in the US for their tour.
