President Uhuru Kenyatta has led Jubilee in endorsing a working arrangement with the Azimi-One Kenya coalition.

The president dismissed claims that Jubilee had died saying the party has been at work to execute the mandate given to the party by voters.

"Can a dead party build over 12 kilometres of roads across the country," Uhuru said at the Kenyatta Conference Centre.

Deputy President William Ruto was kicked out on Saturday as the Jubilee deputy party leader had claimed Jubilee had died.

'We have delivered on our mandate, if you thought silence was cowardice then you are mistaken, we are here to talk now,' Uhuru said.

He went on: "There is time to work and time to speak, today we are here to speak and we shall talk."

Uhuru said Jubilee did not kick out anybody but the renegades quit the party because they would not work but politic.

"Let nobody claim that they have been chased from the party, they went on their own,' he told the Jubilee delegates.

The president denied that his handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga had shoved off Ruto from his roles.'The handshake for not deny those people we were working with any positions,' he said.

The president termed the day a happy moment for him as the country opens a new political chapter.

"It is a happy day for me, it is a historic venue here at KICC because our TNA journeys started here," he said.

He went on: "Being a historic ground it hosts a new history as many parties start a journey to rebuild our national politics."
