ODM leader, Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja brigade will Monday storm Migori County to solidify the region's support ahead of August polls.

This follows a series of rallies across Nyanza and Western regions by the Azimio team led by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho alongside other officials of the outfit.

The team visited Vihiga, Busia, Homa Bay and Laikipia counties.

Raila has been out of the country for a 10-day visit to Ethiopia and India, where he, among other things, benchmarked for the social protection programme he intends to roll out if he wins the August 9 General Election.

Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza alliance partners, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula will be in Nyeri where they are expected to launch the Bottom-up consultative meetings.

This comes as they plan to roll out an intense charm offensive to counter Raila's fortunes in President Uhuru Kenyatta's Central Kenya backyard.

The Star has established that the Kenya Kwanza tour of the region will culminate in a grand reception of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, who will be returning home from the hospital in Dubai on Saturday.
