Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi has said that the Bukhungu II meeting is for the people of Western Kenya to chat their way forward.

Speaking to the Star at Bukhungu Stadium, Ososti said the meeting is mainly to end Luhya 'confusion' as they head to General Elections.

"As a region we have been in confusion for a long time not knowing who to support on the ballot come elections," Osotsi said.

"And that confusion has badly affected us by being outside the government."

The law maker said it's time the region takes a firm stand to ensure they have a big share in government come 2022.

"And if we want to be in government we must rally behind Raila Odinga to ensure he takes over the leadership of this country after President Uhuru Kenyatta," he said.

Osotsi said that all leaders who have arrived at the stadium for the Bukhungu II meeting are there to assure their full support.

He noted that in the previous two general elections –2013 and 2017, the Luhya community has been outside the government because of poor planning.

The meeting is yet to kick of as Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli and his delegation are yet to arrive.

By 10 am, Bukhungu Stadium was already packed to capacity and hundreds of people were still walking in.

The meeting, convened by Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli, is set to chart the way forward for the Mulembe nation as they head to the 2022 General Elections.
