Dignitaries arrive for Uhuru's State of the Nation address

Chief Justice Martha Koome, Supreme Court judge Njoki Ndung'u, Nairobi Governor Anne Kananu and NMS boss Mohammed Badi were among the dignitaries that have arrived at Parliament Buildings ahead of President Uhuru Kenyatta's arrival.

The President is expected to deliver his annual State of the Nation address from 3pm. He will address the joint sitting of the Senate and the National Assembly.

The military has mounted a guard of honour along Parliament Road awaiting the President's arrival.

Security has been tightened in and around Parliament Buildings.
