Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua's ex, Lillian Ng'ang'a has hit out at the county chief's social media team, accusing them of being used to settle personal scores.

Taking to Instagram stories on Sunday, Ng'ang'a said she knows the team personally and was there when they were being recruited. She urged them to focus on helping Mutua become President, rather than going after her and her new flame, Juliani.

Ng'ang'a went ahead to say she had been quiet for the 10 years she had been with Mutua and it was time for her to share her story.

Sharing a photo of an interview she did with Nation newspaper, she urged those who wanted to know her side of the story to read the interview.

In the interview published on the daily, Ng'ang'a said the social media harassment she has experienced in the last couple of weeks is similar to what she face when she was first introduced as Mutua's wife.

She said people labelled her a home wrecker, but she dismissed the tag, saying Mutua's marriage was already on the rocks before she came into the picture.

In the interview, she went ahead to say that Mutua gave her a ring, a month into their dating, but she soon returned it, saying she was not going to be involved with a married man.

In her Instagram post, Ng'ang'a went on to say her life and that of Juliani is in danger.

Last week, during a press conference with her lawyer Philip Murgor on Thursday, Ng'ang'a accused the governor of gaining access to a vehicle she allegedly owns and having it sold.

“Mutua, accompanied by his police guard, Martin Nzinghi arrived at my apartment parking lot at Kileleshwa, Nairobi, and without my knowledge or consent and using a spare key which he had legally obtained, drove way my personal motor vehicle KBY 186G- a car which had been fully registered in my name since 2014,” read part of Ng'ang'a's statement.

She also alleges her shares in Ndash Enterprises Ltd - the hotel company - were transferred without her consent. Ng'ang'a said she named the company after her high school nickname, Ndash.

"At no point did I execute a transfer of my shares or otherwise transfer my 1,800 shares (45%) shareholding in the company..." she said.

Ng'ang'a has called on DPP Noordin Haji and Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai to probe the matters.

Ng'ang'a maintains her separation from Mutua was not amicable, contrary to what the governor has said in previous interviews, adding she has not been in talking terms with him since August.

On the matter of her being trolled for 'defrauding' Kenyans by acting as the first lady of Machakos while she alleges she was never formally married to Mutua, Ng'ang'a said no money was allocated to her office, so she did not benefit.

She said that Mutua benefitted from her efforts to campaign for him, adding that she was responsible for the many votes from women.
