Nominated Senator Victor Prengei is dead.
Prengei died in a road accident along Kabarak-Nakuru road on Monday night.
The news was confirmed by Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka.
Prengei was a Jubilee nominated senator.
He was among the six senators who faced Jubilee disciplinary committee earlier this year.
Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga eulogized Prengei as a friend to be cherished forever.
"Rest well my colleague and friend Victor Prengei, Nominated Senator. We shall forever cherish your tireless efforts in fighting for and protecting rights of the minority communities in our Nation. We have lost a great leader. My condolences to your family, friends and the entire Ogiek community," Omanga said in a Twitter post.
