Uhuru mourns Nelson Mandela's daughter Zindzi

Zindzi died at the Johannesburg hospital and the cause of her death has not been disclosed.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa, family and Citizens of SA following the death of Ambassador Zindziswa Mandela.

The late was the daughter of former South African President Nelson Mandela and first lady Winnie Madikizela.

According to the South African media house eNCA, 59-year old Zindisziswa also known as Zindzi, was announced dead on Monday by the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

 

Zindzi died at the Johannesburg hospital and the cause of her death has not been disclosed.

 

In his statement of Monday, Uhuru wished the family God's comfort as they mourn their departed kin.

"Mandela, who until her death was her country's Ambassador to Denmark, is the daughter of South Africa's first black President Nelson Mandela and freedom icon Winnie Mandela," he said.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on his part, eulogized Zindzi as a humble politician and God fearing.

Zindzi, who was also known as Zindziswa was the younger sister of Zenani Mnadela and the third of Nelson Mandela's

She was born on December 23, 1960 in Soweto to Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela.

Zindzi has left behind four children, including Zoleka, Zondw, Bambatha and Zwelabo.
