18 counties have virus cases, Isiolo becomes the latest

The latest coronavirus updates in the country from the Ministry of Health indicated that Isiolo reported its first case.

Briefing the media on Thursday, Health CAS Rashid Aman said that Isiolo had one case from the 25 new cases.

The country has 607 confirmed cases since the first case which was reported on March 13.

According to to the latest updates, the country recorded three more deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 29.

The country also reported seven more recoveries, adding the number of recoveries to 197.

Nairobi county is leading in the cases reported, where 345 people have tested positive.

All estates in Nairobi have reported cases of the virus. Mombasa county has 202 cases followed by Kilifi and Wajir which have nine cases each.

Mandera has eight cases while Kiambu has six cases. Other counties with confirmed cases are Kajiado (5), Kitui (4), Nakuru (3), Migori (3), Siaya (2), Bungoma (2), Busia (2) and Kakamega (2). Both Uasin Gishu and Homa Bay have reported single cases.

The government imposed cessation in Eastleigh and Old Town to curb further spread after both areas recorded high cases of the virus.

Residents of Eastleigh and Old Town have been asked to follow the measures issued by the government.
