Expect moderate to heavy rains this week, says Weatherman

Temperatures to range from 16 and 21 degrees Celsius in Nairobi and Central Kenya counties

There will be moderate to heavy rainfall in Western and Central Rift Valley regions from Sunday until Wednesday according to the latest forecast by the weatherman.

“Morning rains are expected in the counties of Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma and Busia,” the forecast shows.

The rains will pound the affected counties in the morning.

In the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will be expected over several places with temperatures ranging from 14 and 20 degrees Celsius.

Turkana, West Pokot and Samburu counties will also experience rainfall in the morning from Sunday until Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will be experienced over a few places.

Temperatures will range from 24 and 31 degrees Celsius.

In Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu and Tharaka Nithi counties, there will be rainbs in the morning until Wednesday.

The 10 counties will experience showers and thunderstorms over several places in the afternoon with temperatures ranging from 16 and 21 degrees Celsius.

Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo will also experience morning rains until Wednesday. They will also experience showers over several places in the afternoon and at night with temperatures ranging from 25  and 35 degrees Celsius.

Morning rains will also be experienced in Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta. The counties will also experience showers over several places in the afternoon and at night. Temperatures will range from between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius.

The Coastal Strip which comprises Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties will experience showers over few places in the morning, afternoon and at night until Wednesday.

The temperatures in the Coastal strip will range from 24 and 30 degrees Celsius.
