Scores of people are feared trapped after a six-storey building collapsed in Tassia Estate, Embakasi East on Friday morning.

 

Rescue operation led by KDF officers assisted by locals is currently underway.

An unconfirmed number of people have been safely evacuated and rushed to hospital.

Residents at the site who spoke to the media complained of the building's poor construction.

According to the Red Cross, four people have been rescued and rushed to hospital.

"Setting up of psychosocial support services and tracing desk underway," Red Cross tweeted.
