Police in Makueni are holding a Form Four student from Mwaani Boys Secondary School for allegedly sodomising a Form Two student.
The 17-year old was arrested yesterday after the victim reported to Makueni County Referral Hospital on Friday.
Deputy county police commander Justus Kitetu said a medical examination in their possession shows the boy had been sodomised.
The boy, also aged 17, was among five others who had visited the facility accompanied by the school matron for a medical checkup.
“He revealed the incident to the medics and was referred to us since they could not proceed with treatment without the required police P3 form, which we issued and proceeded to arrest the suspect who is in our custody,” Kitetu said.
He said the boy had recorded a statement with the police and is at Makueni Gender-based Violence Centre.
He said the suspect will be arraigned once investigations are done.
