Choppies Superstore has opened its 16th Kenyan branch in Nanyuki town. It occupies the space of Nakumatt at Nanyuki mall.
Laikipia governor Ndiritu Muriithi and speaker Patrick Waigwa on Friday witnessed the opening ceremony. The supermarket management said 80 per cent of its workers are from the area.
Other branches are in Kisumu, Nakuru, Kericho, Nairobi. The 17th one is set to be opened in Mombasa county. Choppies Enterprises Ltd is a Botswana multinational grocery operating in countries like South Africa, Zambia and Kenya.
