Kenya Forest Service offi cers yesterday seized cedar logs worth more than Sh800,000 at the Flyover area along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

KFS officials said the logs were from Mau forest and were being transported to an unknown sawmill.

Permits to transport cedar trees and their products are no longer issued.

Kiambu county ecosystem conservator Paul Karanja said lorry was ferrying 1,500 logs. Logging has been banned since March.
