Six people were this evening injured
in a road accident at Nomotio area along Maralal-Loosuk road, Samburu central.
The victims have been rushed to Samburu county referral hospital in Maralal town.
The accident occurred when a lorry they were travelling in from Nomotio to Maralal veered off the road and overturned.
“I was seated in the driver’s cabin, I saw him struggle with the steering but I don’t know what the problem was, I just found myself outside through the driver’s door when the vehicle fell down,” said a victim of the accident at Samburu county referral hospital.
Samburu central OCPD Abaggarro Guyo confirmed said police have launched investigations to establish the cause of the accident.
The wreckage of the vehicle was towed to Maralal police station.
