An assistant chief in Marsabit was on Thursday sentenced to 20 years in prison for defiling his 15-year-old -daughter at

Kiturini in March.

Emmanuel Lengolei was sentenced in a

Marsabit court

for defiling the Standard

Five

girl.

Witnesses, including the girl, narrated how the father defiled her.

Senior magistrate Tom Wafula found there was evidence of defilement.

A

medical report was presented in court.

Lengolei was found to have sexually abused his daughter between March 26 and 27 this year.

The accused denied the charge.

He was given 14 days to appeal.
