The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has approved the promotion of 106 magistrates and three kadhis countrywide.
The move saw senior principal magistrate Liza Gicheha promoted to be a chief magistrate.
"This is to notify you that the Judicial Service Commission at its meeting held on November 12, 2018 promoted the under listed magistrates," read an internal memo.
Others were moved from magistrate to resident magistrate while other moved to the senior resident magistrate post.
