Decomposing body of businessman found after four months search

The decomposing body of a businessman who went missing four months ago has been found inside his car in a River in Embu.
The body of James Maina was pulled out of his car on Sunday at Thiba River.
He was reported missing on April 21, while driving along Mwea-Embu road.
The family made a public appeal on social media groups to help trace him.
Maina was a businessman dealing with export of horticultural produce.
He leased farms in different parts of Embu and Kirinyaga where he planted horticultural produce.
A section of the family suspect foul play in his death.
A police report from Embu police said a mobile phone and cash estimated to be between Sh 10,000 and Sh 20,000 were found in the dead man’s pockets.
Detectives from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit had been assigned to trace the lost man.
An officer who spoke to the Star but requested for anonymity said the man’s body was badly disfigured after staying in water for four months.
Police said they were yet to find any indications that Maina may have been killed.
