The Senate team yesterday failed to question Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua after the county boss showed up without requisite documents. Mutua was to answer audit queries flagged by the Auditor General in his 2014-15 report.
The County Public Accounts and Investment Committee chaired by Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang ruled the session could not continue in the absence of the documents. “It will not be productive to continue with this session without seeing the documents you are referring to in your responses,” Kajwang said.
