Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi has asked the National Intelligence Service to be part of school unrests probe.
He said the NIS will provide timely information.
Kiraitu added that the Intelligence department is doing little, despite being heavily funded to curb crime.
The governor said the NIS should work with principals.
Kiraitu spoke in Meru town when he issued bursaries worth Sh103 million.
The county boss said parents, teachers and principals should
ensure
school property against fires.
“It is our responsibility to protect the school and guide our students,” Kiraitu said.
