The Interior ministry has advertised the position of NGO Coordination Board CEO after Fazul Mahamed resigned.
He described his last three years at the board as "nothing short of pure excitement and joy".
His term ended in November last year after the Labour Court issued an order barring the state from renewing or extending his contract.
"A candidate must have relevant working experience of at least one year with a minimum of five years in a senior management and leadership position in a large public or private organisation," read the advert on Tuesday.
The candidate must also have a Bachelors and Masters degree in social sciences or Business related field from a recognized institution.
"Certificate in Strategic leadership development program or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution," it read.
The candidates are required to also submit clearance certificates from KRA, HELB, EACC, and DCI.
The CEO will report to the Board of the Directors and shall hold the office for a term of three years.
He or she will be eligible for a reappointment for one further term subject to satisfactory performance and appraisal by the board.

in his notice wished the
board the very best in its endeavours of creating an enabling environment
for the thriving of the charity sector.
In the orders last year, Justice Hellen Wasilwa directed Interior CS Fred Matiang'i against renewing Mahamed's term or reappointing him to the role.
Last year,
EACC,
after fresh investigations,
declared that
Fazul was hired as NGOs Coordination Board CEO despite lacking qualifications.
